New Made Item: This cowhide-covered rucksack was known as the Tornister 34 (developed in 1934) and was later fitted with new style straps in 1939

the stock bears military rack numbers on the left side:

Zella-Mehlis (Thür) over the famous WALTHER banner and 1940 date

so this is definitely much more likely to have been used in the trenches on the European mainland

M1917 "Doughboy" helmet, which features original period Dark Green paint and retains much of the original textured paint as well as a beautiful 93rd Infantry Division insignia on the front. Although their uniforms were American, their helmets were the French style, blueish tinted Adrian helmet. The 93rd's division insignia, henceforth, became the silhouetted Adrian helmet patch
