but finally deciphered the signature on the bottom to realize it is by George Kills Pretty Enemy (Pte San Hoksila)

and special care taken with the ear

with warmly worn brass on either end

There is a tiny gap between the mount he stands on and the flat base to which it is nailed so he leans forward just a hair but is stable and pretty sturdy

but how not to want to be that mother

Antique Small Heart-Shaped Lock, with Key fishing reel but finally deciphered the signatureOf course this old heart shaped lock would be perfect for locking to a bridge somewhere as a symbol of enduring love, but it's such a sweet one I think better to hold onto it! The key still works to open and close it easily, and once locked, it's locked tight. I am not sure the maker, but I do know for sure it is an old one, 19th c. for sure. 2 1 4" tall x 1 9 16" w wide x 3 8" thick and in very good, aged condition.
