Black Glazed Angular Porcelain Bud Vase with Inky Blue Interior folk art painted box with moveable head and legs

with moveable head and legs

held together it looks to me by just a couple of nails at the top and then a few more nailed in from the underside of the base

and as far as I can tell there is only one bit on the whole piece that is lost- at the very center of the top

1 1/2" deep and in very good condition

7 3/4" in diameter x 2 1/4" tall

Black Glazed Angular Porcelain Bud Vase with Inky Blue Interior folk art painted box with moveable head and legsThis striking small vase is gorgeous just on its own, but would also makes the perfect vessel for a bunch of violets or lily of the valley or anything cut to shortish stems. The inly blue glazed interior adds a subtle glow to the matte ish black exterior, and makes me think Richard Serra meets Ad Reinhardt at a tabletop scale! 5 3 8" w x 4 3 8" t x 1 1 2"d an d in excellent condition.
